Srikanth Iyer and Yaron Valler joins Foradian’s Advisory Board

Happy to announce, we bring on board Srikanth Iyer, ex-CEO, Pearson India and Yaron Valler, former MD of Hasso Plattner Ventures. As these two very successful personalities join us, we are sure headed for a very exciting and productive future. Both Srikanth and Yaron are well experienced in education and enterprise market and will help us to strengthen and scale our existing operations and expand our operations to USA and Europe.

Srikanth was most recently the CEO at Pearson India. Previously, he co-founded Edurite Technologies, a leading e-content provider in the education space. Under Srikanth’s leadership Edurite grew by leaps and bounds and was lead to an acquisition by TutorVista; a global online tutoring company, and further acquisition by Pearson in 2011. Srikanth Iyer is right now a venture partner in Unitus Seed Fund and is focusing on capitalizing the growing opportunities in the affordable education space in India. Srikanth currently is the co-founder & CEO of HomeLane.com – a new age Interior design firm.

Yaron Valler is the managing director of Sela Venture Capital a European technology investment fund focusing on software and internet investments. Prior to Sela, Yaron managed Hasso Plattner Ventures a Berlin based technology fund founded by Hasso Plattner, the founder and chairman of SAP. Formerly Yaron led the enterprise software practice at Giza Venture Capital, was an early stage investor at the Technion Incubator, and was a co-founder and VP of business development at Excedo Technologies. Yaron holds an MBA from INSEAD in France and a B.Sc. in Information Systems Engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

Also joining our board is Vikas Vig, Partner at Mohinder Puri & Co, Delhi. Vikas has an experience of over 30 years in structuring of joint ventures, foreign collaborations and devising entry strategies. He also has vast knowledge of the regulatory framework in India pertaining to foreign inward investment and local taxation, audit and accounting practices. He also serves as a director in many multinational companies doing business in India.

Recently, Foradian was listed as 15th fastest growing company in India and 139th in Asia by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 . Fedena, our flagship product is an all in one software to manage every process in a school or college and has a user base of 20 million students and teachers worldwide. Foradian recently raised $2mm from William Bisssell, MD, FabIndia.

Foradian has come a long way and we hope that our story is an inspiration for many other start-ups in India.
